Home Business Management
by Obinna Heche

A popular trend today is for many to choose to work from their home with a home based business. While working from the home can be a great opportunity there are some unique challenges that you will have to learn to deal with. The biggest challenge you will have to learn to deal with is the amount of distractions that can prevent you from completing your work on time. There is the distraction of running errands, doing laundry and other household chores. In addition, if you have children there can be other distractions as well. Consider a few ways you can deal with these distractions to have a more productive work environment at home.

The best thing you can do to avoid distractions is set up a separate office or working area that is away from the commotion of the household. When first starting a home based business many choose to place it either at the dining room table or in other high traffic areas. This can make it difficult to focus on the task at hand and complete the assigned work on time. If you do not have a separate room where you can place you office then at least try to find an area that has the least amount of distractions.

Once you have an office it is very important that you set up specific business hours. This is a very good idea if you have children in the household. You should make sure they realize they can not disturb you while you are in your office. Sometimes you can have a do not disturb sign. This will allow you to make any client contacts without being disturbed. If you have trouble keeping focused because of distractions then consider creating a list of what to do everyday.

This way you can become focused on finishing a specific amount of tasks by the end of the day and not become distracted by completing other tasks around the house. In addition to this list, it can be good to set a deadline for each project you are working on so that you can stay on track. If you have a hard time making yourself stay with deadlines then perhaps you should share them with someone else to help you remain more focused on the deadlines.

Focusing on work can only help with distractions so much. You should also take the time to relax from time to time. Make sure you know it is okay to be distracted once in a while. As long as you do not allow distractions to become a regular occurrence you do not have to worry. Just make sure your work takes priority. If you work better by reporting your progress to someone then perhaps you should share your goals and objectives with someone in the household to help you focus on your work better.

Developing Human Resource Policies for Your Small Business
by Joe Mangrove

As your small business grows, you'll discover that the more employees you hire, the more help you need with personnel issues. By the time you're ready to establish a position or department for managing human resources concerns, it's past time to consider a human resources policy. The idea of "policies" make some small business owners cringe, but the hiring and management of individuals other than yourself will bring a wealth of unanticipated needs. Considering the development of such policies could sound daunting, as well, but once you put a plan into place, the process can be more streamlined. Your plan should include research, room for growth, and presentation. Start with these fundamentals and you'll be well on your way.

One of the first pieces of research you'll want to undertake should be to governmental resources. Local, state and national resources are available for business owners and because there are non-negotiable legal matters, you'll want to address labor law compliance, immediately. Once you're familiar with the laws for your type of business, your geographical region, and the number of employees, you can move on to other industry-related resources to provide guidance in developing additional policies.

Consider, too, the best way to package the contents leaving room for expansion. Let's say you have a simple policy concerning employee attire. But you know better than to solidify that area; trends change, and ultimately you could be faced with work-appropriate dress code issues you never imagined. Has your policy been written with room for flexibility? Is there room to reword or even add additional outlined parts to your dress code? You may be glad later.

Having begun drafting, now consider how you'll make that information available to your employees. Some companies create a manual which can grow as your policies shift and expand. Others put the policies together in a brochure or flyer that's distributed to each new-hire. Still others publish their policies on their company websites. Of course there's nothing that says you can't use more than one of these methods of presentation.

From planning, drafting and production, your human resources policy manual, no matter the length, will help save time and money as your organization grows. Use the resources available to you, at governmental levels, and also through human resource management-related associations, websites and publications. Use a flexible, organized structure with plenty of wiggle room. Finally, make sure your finished product is output in an easy-to-read, easy-to-locate format. And, of course, remember to make each employee aware of its existence. The human resources policy manual may not seem related to the reason you started your business in the first place, but the development of such a document will ensure the more efficient likelihood that you'll have more time to spend doing the things that drew you to the business in the first place. Think of it as a business investment. Maybe one of the best ones you'll ever make.

Will Blog for Money
by Liz Tomey

Do you blog to have fun or to make money? Which do you prefer?

Blogs are enjoyable to create. It gives people a forum to voice their opinions on various issues or just make general observations on life. You can say what you want about anything. Your blog can be your personal diary and can also be your public journal for everyone else to read what you think. It can be fun and also therapeutic to allow other people to see the thoughts that run amuck inside your head and also allows you to have others comment on those thoughts.

Changes take place almost daily on the internet, and this creates a need for constant updating, which has led to the growing popularity of blogs. They are used as personal journals (as mentioned previously) but have also become useful in many other ways. They can be forums for political platforms, advertising, and even income. Blogging has now reached the stage where bloggers can both have fun AND make money!

Writing a blog as a way to make money is something that just about anyone can do. However, not as many have actually made the money they had expected to make. This is primarily due to two reasons. First of all, people blog with the unrealistic expectation that if they blog, they will automatically make money almost immediately. This is a false statement because building a blog readership takes time. This is especially true if the subject matter of the blog is not as interesting to people as a whole but is instead more specific to a smaller group. Secondly, blogers do not create a doable plan that will help lead them to those riches and help them make it through the slower times. Too often, people set high expectations and then experience disappointment when those expectations are not met quickly, and then they lose some of the momentum they had for writing the blogs in the first place.

If you want to make a considerable amount of money with blogs, you have to consider them as a business instead of just a hobby. You must spend a great deal of time looking to get website traffic to your site. The more traffic you have, the easier it is to generate that income.

So, just how can you get that traffic to your blog? You first need to get your own domain name. You can use some free blogging sites, but it is best to also have your own domain name to add credibility to your blog. Next, you need to create a plan for how you will run your blog. You can use blogging software to make it easier, and it is important to network with other bloggers to help promote each other's sites. Finally, the most important step is to regularly update your bolg. Add posts consistently, posting four or five times a week. Include articles that are current and remember that people want to keep up with the trends.

Take time and put forth the effort to make your blog really stand out. Make it visually appealing with pictures and videos that are relevant to the content located there. Reach out to your audience in ways that are applicable to them.

It is difficult to be an overnight success with blogs, but it IS possible to be successful. If you blog on a topic that you enjoy and you create a business plan for your blog, you are guaranteed to be successful.

Tips for an Effective Human Resource Management Action Plan
by Thanaseelan Vengadasalam

What are some tips for having an effective human resource management plan? First of all, it has to address the facts that business fortunes rise and fall periodically, employees and talent needs change and evolve, workforces age and retire in perhaps unplanned ways that do not match business needs. Also the market value of talent changes over time, sometimes becoming more valuable or less valuable.

Business focus:

Be a best business place to work, not just a best place to work. Create a human resource management strategy to live with throughout the business cycle. Test some alternative solutions assuming growth and shrinkage of the number of customers and their profitability. Reward people who have helped the organisation to succeed.

Emphasise key skills:

Mentor staff with the crucial business skills so that they grow and learn. While everyone is important, some people have skills which a business needs than do others. This means investing in the talent that is closest to the business' core competencies - capabilities which are vital in making the business a winning one. Inform everyone what the talent priorities are and build a reward solution that fits. Invest on the area where most of business value comes from - people with expertise that add most to the business.

Communicate:

Educate employees about the rules of staffing growth and reduction early in their career. During the staffing build up over the last 5 years, companies implied that jobs were more secure than they really are. Thus, when the business tide turned, workforces recalled these implied promises and interpreted them as job guarantees. It is extremely important to have people understand the actual deal the company can provide. Be clear that staffing levels would change. However, also make employees comprehend what they can do to improve their value to make it less likely that they will be picked for lay offs and salary reductions.

Measure performance:

Build an accepted and valid way to judge performance before it is needed. It is important to have a credible and reliable performance management system in place when times are going well. In good times, it is easy to protect inadequate performers when staffing levels are high, but not when cutting is necessary. The best way to foster distrust, to say nothing about litigation, is to adopt a makeshift ranking system just before it is needed to reduce staff and try to use it to decide who goes and who remains.

Humanity counts:

Cut the workforce quickly and humanely. Spreading the pain around does not make much business sense. When there is a need to reduce staff, reduce it. Build a reputation for keeping people close to the meat of the business even when cutting is inevitable.

Get it over with:

Cut enough so that when it is over, it is really over. Do some staff planning and stick with it. Companies cannot continue to regain the trust of the workforce if they do not make the needed cuts and commence to regain business momentum. While it is very hard to predict the next possible economic fortunes of the business, the staff cutting must stop when management promises that it will.

Measure and control Human Resources performance
by Sam Miller

The business success is about taking right people to the right place on right time. So what is the problem? Actually, if you need to manage not one, but five employees or better five groups of employees, then you face the problem of measuring and control. It's hard to tell whether one group is performing better or not, it becoming hard to compare one employees success against other one, it's hard to see the unique features of people. So what the solution is? The key metrics and key indicators, which will tell you how to manage your stuff right.

There are two approaches I suggest to take into account when thinking about human resources (HR) at your company. First, you can think in terms of process, second you can think it terms of how do employees affect the whole business.

The processes of working with employees include: hire, education, management, retire. All the stages must be processes carefully, as they could fully change your business. For instance, if you will have the best system to hire stuff, but it will be working slowly, then you will fail. If your education system will allow to train everyone, but will not allow to check the actual performance generated by training processed, then you will fail. If your best people will retire, then you will lose.

So, that's why it's really important to measure and control all processes involved into employees relationship. People who you work with, should understand what your goals are and how they will help to achieve these goals. This is the key idea of manage and control in employees management processes.

Another approach is focusing on how someone's job affect the company. It's obvious that even if someone works in a Sales then he or she will affect not only the financial part of the business by generating sales, but also all other parts.

For instance, sales person will be involved in entire company processes, such as education and knowledge sharing. This person will also work directly with customers, so he or she might not just sale, but get a valuable feedback from end users of your product. These people will also help your company to grow not just in terms of sales, but in terms of better business processes and business efficiency.

So how to measure and control HR department at your company. The answer is very simple - you should develop some key indicators that will represent company business and then pay attention to what is working good and what should be changed. There are many names for this system, for instance KPI (Key Performance Indicators) or Balanced Scorecard. The result is having the clear view of what is going to happen in company and how it will steam-line your business.

What should be the first step? Actually, I think you have already had some important information for scorecard. For instance, you have document called "mission", this is a general definition of your principles, you can some business goals, you have business processes described and formalized. What you need now is to gather all this important information into a easy to manage system, which will take in account the importance of each metrics. This system (Balanced Scorecard or KPI) will help to manage and control the performance of your HR department.

How to Analyze a Link Building Movement
by Pratik Shah

There are many causes for changing in a link Movement. In Major Search Engines like Google, linking is one of the most important and the best issue in shaping a sites rank in the SERPS (Search engine results pages).

As it is such a critical issue in Google's algorithm, a link promotion should be part of your search engine marketing (SEM) efforts.

Initially, we should identify the different types of links that a site should have:

One-way (In-Bound) link - Just link your site to another related sites without giving it a back link.

Reciprocal links or Link Exchange - Link your site in other related sites and link them in your site too. This is also called two way links. In this process both the site owner place each other links and let the traffic redirect to their link partners too.
It is a very time consuming task if you want to do it correctly but some time it is very useful to get high pr links.

But you should have to regularly check your partner's site to make sure that your link is still placed on that site. Most webmasters are honest and will keep you linked, but there are a few rotten apples out there.

In-Bound (One-way) Links are the most excellent type to increase back links of your site, if you can. It's not very difficult too, but as in the whole thing advantage, there will be a quantity of attempt caught up.

The simplest way to acquire In bound links are submit your site to directories. There are so many free directories to submit your site, and it will save your time and provide you the fact result in Search Engines too so get listed in as many as you can.

There are also paid directories which have high pr and you can submit your site in it, if you can afford some money and your budget allows you. You should try to get listed in all directories that are applicable to your site's subject.

The next way to get popular your site is site is to do press release submission. With related sites which provides free press release submission. And it will not only get your site popular, but it will also increase your one way links.

If you want to earn through your online business, you must include your site's url in your email signature. Many people use Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail which are all web-based systems, so they read the urls contained in the email and thus include to your back-link totals.

One portion of contemplation: When you submit your site information in link form, make sure your anchor text (the clickable part) is one of the keywords you are trying to get your site ranked for. What you are telling the search engines is that the destination of the url is about whatever the text link was. So, if your text link says "software", the search engine would expect that page to be about Software.

Using Blogs to Make Money
by Liz Tomey

People spend a lot of time online. That is a fact about our society these days. And it seems like the more time we spend online, the more ways people find to make the internet a profit making venture. Relatively any type of business can find at least a little success online, so most now have some type of website of their own. This gives business owners a chance to attract potential customers by offering information about their business via a sort of world wide billboard. This is what has paved the way to using blogs to make money.

Besides simply hosting a corporate website, many businesses have also ventured into the blogging industry. Those who own businesses or are experts in a particular field can write articles or blogs about their particulare area of expertise. They can display this knowledge quickly and easily and can reach an overwhelming number of people. If good, knowledgable blogs are posted, readers will likely become repeat visitors and possibly eventual customers.

Blogging for money is something that is not limited to one specific business type. There are a number of various fields within that general description. Politicians use blogs to promote their agendas and attract potential voters and campaign financing. Artists and musicians use blogs to let fans know how tours are going and where they are headed next and what types of projects they plan to attack in the future. Athletes and other sports figures use blogs to talk about upcoming games, trades, and stats. No matter the industry, blogs allow these businesses to find and keep potential fans and customers.

Clients can enjoy easy access to the blogs of businesses and corporations they in which they are interested. When they are able to find accurate, timely, interesting information, they will eventually develop a level of trust because they appreciate the information being shared by the company. Previously, there was not always a simple way for potential or existing clients to find information on the companies of interest and clients often were left wanting information with no way to get it. Companies are now realizing that customers want details and want to know what is going on within the company. This is being seen through comments left on corporation blogs.

As mentioned, blogs have become more and more popular as a money maker for internet users. There is content available through blogs of just about any interest that is appealing to vaaroius groups. Many personal bloggers will allow advertisments to be posted and receive payment per click or a base payment for each ad posted.

Blogs may be best used by corporations to gather potential customers for their business. Or they may be for aspiring writers to express themselves and share their thoughts and feelings with the world. Blogs are becoming more and more popular as a way to make a little extra money, whether through marketing of a product or per click advertising. Blogging is a business that helps to increase and grow other businesses.

Make Money on the Internet with online survey
by Nanny

Learn How To Make $25 In Just 7 Minutes Sitting At Home In Front Of The Computer & Do It Over And Over Again!

If you're like many, you are probably wondering why everyone is so excited about online surveys? Can you really make money this way? And if so, how?

Well, there certainly is a lot of garbage out there on the web. Luckily, you've found this report, which will detail for you exactly how to go about making money with surveys online.
Why surveys?

Online market research is one of the latest up and coming industries in the world. In fact, this industry has grown immeasurably in the past few years, and is now becoming a BILLION dollar industry.

When big companies are designing and developing new products or advertisements, they need the opinions of consumers -- like you -- in order to know exactly what people want. With this information, they can create the right products, and thus make a lot more money than if they just "guessed" what to do.

With the explosion of the Internet, it is now possible for market research companies to solicit survey participants online. Since these survey participants
are providing an essential and valuable service, they are paid for their participation in surveys.

In the past, you would have had to complete surveys in the regular mail, or even go in person, but the Internet has changed all of this. Now, you can take surveys by using a web browser, and even sometimes participate in online "chats" and "focus groups" that can be interactive product demonstrations and questions/answer sessions.

There are thousands of market research companies that are actively seeking people like you to register with them to begin taking surveys. Each one of these
companies is unique, and provides different payment terms and different types of surveys.

Some companies will mail you a check, some will pay you with Paypal. Some will send prizes and products to you in the mail. There are all sorts of opportunities. How would you like your mailbox to be full of checks
from tons of different companies? There are many people for whom this is the case!

The "free" survey site lists - EXPOSED

If you've done any searching online for survey opportunities, then you have probably come across the sites that claim to show you "reviews" or "recommended" lists of survey companies. But rarely do they ever list more than about 10 companies! That's because they ONLY list the companies
who are PAYING THEM for the listing. So no matter how much you keep searching on the web, you'll keep coming across the same companies over and over again -- because everybody and his brother is being paid to recommend them to you!

This is why, if you intend to be serious about making money with surveys, you need to acquire a membership at a site that will show you HUNDREDS of online survey companies.
Why do you need a membership site?

When you sign up with a membership site, such as Get Cash For Surveys, you pay a small membership fee, which is a one time fee that entitles you to lifetime
access to their database. Their database does not just contain 10 "special" companies like the free ones you'll find on the web. Instead, they have paid their researchers to put hours and hours of effort into collecting and
analyzing hundreds of survey companies for you.

This is why you pay a small membership fee. As a premium member, you are assured access to all of the highest quality survey companies. The membership site is not being paid to recommend any particular companies to you, and instead their efforts are supported by your membership fee, so you know that you are getting the best service out there.

We truly do recommend Get Cash For Surveys as one of the strongest membership sites on the Internet for online survey opportunities.

To join, visit: GET CASH FOR SURVEY Website

Anyone who truly wishes to make a good amount of money with online surveys knows that securing a membership at Get Cash For Surveys is one of the best steps you can take. We hope that upon reviewing the facts, you will agree.

Make Money Online - 4 Essential Traffic Generating Strategies
by Adrian Kelly

Getting an ever increasing flow of traffic to your online business is the key to growing your enterprise. It will also help you to make money online.

In order to get people to come to your site and buy your product or service, the main things you need to know are who they are, what they want and how to convince them that they should buy your product or service. Only the science of web traffic can do this.

# 1. Locating your site in the search engines

Search engines are the largest source of targeted web traffic there is. The difficult part is persuading them to send this traffic to you. The key to this is choosing the best keywords. These will be words that target on the needs and wants of your customers. Try to find the phrases that will attract the most visitors to your site who will be ready to buy.

In order to get your site listed in the major search engines, have a link from a site that is already listed. When you have a great product to sell, you will easily persuade someone to link with you. To do this check with a good search engine for something that relates to your service or product, then e-mail them asking for a link exchange.

# 2. The benefits of good links

Good links offer dual benefits. Firstly, they enable web traffic to find you when surfing online and secondly they will greatly improve your search engine rankings.

It is a good idea to approach sites that link to your competitors. There is always a good possibility that a site presently linked to the site of a competitor, will also link to you. You will need to ask them and of course agree to link back.

# 3. Using articles to promote your online business

Online articles are a great traffic creation tool for people on a tight budget. Firstly, you need to write an informative article on a subject relating to your product or service, providing a list of tips or explaining how to do something. Include at the bottom of your article how your product or service is relevant to the subject with a link to your web site.

Secondly, distribute your article widely to various online and offline magazines and newletters with relevance to what you have written. A good tip is to send your articles to free online articles sites.

There is also software available that will send articles to e-zine editors for you or you can hire a service, which is very inexpensive. An articulate and well informed article will be published by newsletters and magazines and their readers will visit your site and buy your product.

# 4. Use of your signature file.

A signature file (or Sig file as it is commonly known) is the few lines of text that is automatically added to the bottom of every e-mail you send. It is a free and simple way to inform people about your web site. They are best kept short to encourage people to visit your site.

Make use of your best keywords and provide a dynamic reason for a reader to visit your web site. Your e-mail program's help section will show you how to set up your signature file. This one method alone can help you make money online.

Creating Fresh Content for Websites
by Joneil Alcock

Adding quality content to a website is essential in keeping a website "sticky" for search engines. It keeps visitors coming back for more information and it will ensure that others will link to your site. Your target audience will keep coming back as the website doesn't remain the same but changes constantly with updates and knowledge they require.

There are some very essential ways that can be used to foster more content on your page. One method which many webmasters use is to write articles or new pages of interest that will keep
visitors interested to return. Forums and blogs also add more content and if the author writes regularly he/she can have unique visitors to the website daily. If you run out of ideas for content Traffic Equalizer is a useful product for creating content rich pages.

Most websites place a frequently asked question (FAQ) page on their site for whatever product or service they offer. Information for this can come from questions viewers ask about the website services. It is essential that the sites keep a comments page or support email open for queries from
visitors.

Another good method is to interview experts in your field or target market about common issues/problems and include their answers as part of your main page. This will enhance the honesty and popularity factor of the site as the known expert may be seen to be endorsing your website content, product or services. Some people might write an e-book for their target audience and then include the interview as part of the content of the book. Both ways tend to work and adds a creative edge to the information you are giving.

A relatively easy method of keeping content fresh is to include rss feeds on your website. Rss feeds are basically links to updated content from some reputed website. RSS Equalizer is a tool that can be used to include quality rss feeds on your site. Many links from other reputed sources on your site will also enhance its integrity in the eyes of many search engines.

Many websites offer a monthly newsletter which gives tips, information, promotions and products related to the specified field from their site. This is a good way to keep customers and visitors informed about news updates in your field and offer promotions and services on the back-end.

On the main page of your website you can include regular updated advice or tips on matters pertaining to your field. If you have products selling or services offering you can apply this to them as well. People love to see new information and tidbits pertaining to services that companies offer.

Of late, information provided via the visual format is a hit. It is so much easier for people to understand a video tutorial on some product or service you offer than just giving written instructions. Videos don't have to be used as promotions for services alone, they can be used to give how-to guides and practical tutorials.

How Search Engines Rank Web Pages
by David 'Goldie' Edwards

Smart Search Engine optimization starts with looking at web pages with one eye closely watching the search engine spiders. once that the search engine optimizer is capable of doing this, he or she is half way to mastership of the search engine results.

It has been said many times that search engines rank web pages and NOT web sites as a whole. what this means to the optimizer is that high ranking cannot be achieved for a main page dedicated to ten keyword phrases. However different pages within your site will appear up in the list of search engine results if you optimize each page for just one or maybe two keyword phrases.

if you cannot use your chosen keyword phrase in the url of your website then do not despair, use it as a folder name or even the name of the web page itself. All search engines show the url's of definitive pages within the site, not just the main url itself.

Search engine spiders do not see your graphics or javascript dynamics on your page that you use to capture your visitors. you could use a wonderful graphic page that mentions you sell widgets, however the search engines will not be able to determine that you actually sell widgets. This is where the world of image alternative names take pride of place in the optimizers eyes. The ALT attribute therefore can be a very search engine friendly way of describing your sales concious website.

As a general rule, search engine spiders have a definitive limit on how much of your web page it will load. For example, googlebot does not read more than the initial 100KB of your page even if it is directed to do so, such as the method of adding keyword phrases to the bottom of your page. Keyword phrases used outside of this range are generally wasted and become 'invisible' to the search engines. our advice is not to overload the HEAD area of your page with various script calls or style attributes.

There are many, many more examples of contextual relevancy a spider considers whilst visiting a page, one of these is the proximity to the beginning of the page that your main keyword phrase occupies, Wasting space with menu bars etc. before the search engine reads the main context is an optimizing nightmare waiting to happen.

Without doubt, no one really knows what all indicators are for ranking highly within the search engine results, however, keep your web pages, simple, clean and relevant, it seems even in these days of latent semantic indexing this method is indeed the best way to ensure search engine optimization success.

How To Make Money Online - Don't Be A Plate Spinner!
by David Whitworth

You must have seen those guys who spin the plates on sticks.

One after another they get the plates spinning until there are around 20+ plates spinning, and with just the occasional spin they keep them going until the act is over.

If you are not careful, your attempts to make money online can be akin to the amateur plate spinner. If you don't master the art of spinning your first plate, there is no point moving onto the next plate.

So, trying to spin six plates at once before you learn how to spin one will only end up with a lot of broken plates.

Whilst it is widely known that the best way of making money online is with Multiple Income Streams, if you don't master your first 'plate', spinning two will not be easier.

To get an idea of how many potential 'plates' are out there, all you have to do is a quick search on Google for "How To Make Money Online" (with quotes) and you can then work your way through the 645,000 sites and 39 pages of sponsored links.

Even if you whittle it down to your top 10 money making ideas it is still a lot of 'plates' to start with.

I just did a quick search and just on the first page there is a wide mix of ways to make money.

Blogs, Niche Content Websites, Text Link Ads, Squidoo, Elance, Avon, Affiliate Programs and then you have got others like Adsense, Adwords, Surveys, Type At Home and many products claiming to be the next amazing cash producing formula.

My advice to anyone looking to make money online, would be to start their first 'plate' in an area that interests them.

Thoroughly research your subject and be wary of the many scams out there.

If you are considering purchasing a program or product, email the owner with any questions you may have about his product.

If he can't be bothered answering your email, why should he get your money.

If you do a search for "product name + review" you will get plenty of results of review sites. Bear in mind that these are someones opinions and opinions differ from one person to another.

Another popular search term is "product name + scam" and the results again will throw up thousands of sites suggesting what you are thinking of buying is a scam.

This was a very clever sales technique which encouraged people to click on the ad to see if what they were thinking of buying was a scam.

You are then taken through a tried and tested sales pitch of doubt and then hope and are ultimately guided towards a sale.

I say it WAS a clever sales technique, because in my opinion it is being used too often by too many.

Another way to research your subject is through forums. For example a search for "affiliate marketing forums" will bring up thousands of results and you will find lots of things under discussion and no end of opinions on the product or program you are thinking of joining.

Whatever area you decide to start in, remember get your first 'plate' spinning before you add another and another and so on until your own multiple income streams are spinning along nicely.

One last bit of advice, and this is the most important part of this article. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION.

Nobody is going to do it for you, there is no e-book that magically produces money once read.

You are the master of your own destiny, set yourself goals and TAKE ACTION.

Starting An Internet Based Business
by Mike D Tucker

Starting an Internet based business can be a real challenge. I have learned a lot in the past few years and if I had to start all over again knowing what I know now I would have done things a lot different. This article will provide some tips for anyone looking to start there own online business.

One of the biggest mistakes I made was trying to do everything myself. Now what I mean by that is when I started I had to learn how to build and setup a website. I had to learn PHP so I could build a script to run my website using a database. Then I had to learn marketing, website promotion, search engine optimization, link building, bookkeeping, and so on.

I learned by trial and error. Even though money was tight at the time I would have saved a lot of time by buying a pre-made business website. I could have concentrated my time on more important aspects of my business like getting traffic to my website.

This is exactly what I did when I started my second online business. Although it cost me more in the beginning my second business started making money the second week after I launched it. In a few months it passed up the first business I worked so hard on. I knew I was on to something.

I started buying and promoting pre-made web businesses and spent my time on promoting them. The results were pretty impressive. I now own and run over 60 web based businesses.

My point is you have to decide how to spend your time. What will pay off the most in the long run. Trying to learn all aspects of running an Internet business is too time consuming and you will end up knowing a little bit about everything and master of nothing. The day I decided to stop trying to do everything and concentrate on one thing was one of the best decisions I ever made.

This bring me to another point I am going to write another article on but I will mention it quick here. If you buy a website or start your own you will never make any money if you just let it sit there. You have to actively promote it. This is how you should spend your time. A web business is worthless if you never get any visitors to it.

This is one of the biggest mistakes I see. People will buy an Internet based business and they might submit it to the search engines then they sit back and wait for the money to start rolling in. Of course it never does. Eventually they give up. They should have learned how to promote there site and concentrated on that.

So in review, decide on one thing and concentrate on that one thing only. Become an expert at it. Do what you are good at and let the professionals do the rest. If you want to start your own Internet based business buy a website with a script already installed and spend your time driving traffic to it. You will be so far ahead of the game you may even impress yourself!

One Way Links And Directory Submissions
by David Fishman

Most website owners do not take into consideration on how their website is designed. When we talk about design we are not talking about the graphics or the colors you use but we are talking about how your site is optimized. Your goal is to increase the targeted traffic to your site.

When listing your website, make sure you list it with a high quality directory that has a good record and quality sites; this will help with rankings and traffic. A few good quality links will draw the perfect customers for your business. Links in directories are free, paid, or free but need a reciprocal link. Links are provided on pages with similar or relevant content. When looking at directories make sure the link can be followed, if the link is a rel="nofollow" don't waste your time.

One of the most important reasons why submitting to directories is very important is because they are human edited, and search engines will look to these directories to confirm the value of sites in their search engine results. Directories will always be around but just like everything else on the internet they will need to adapt and keep up with changes and offer other services. Directory submission is a well established and often overlooked search engine optimization strategy.

You should keep your title within the following limits and that should be around 60 characters. Use your real site title. Remember to include a benefit in the title to compel your readers to read the rest. The more targeted your title is, the more qualified web visitors will visit your site. If you're official website title is Tech Law, then that is the title to submit. Your title is usually displayed in search engine results.

Many sites that are submitted to directories are not accepted because the description does not conform to the rules of the site. When writing the description it is not supposed to sound like you are advertising your site it will need to be written in the third person and do not include superlatives or any type of excessive marketing. Description should be written in third person. Make sure your (USP) unique selling proposition is included in your site's description. Your description should be unique even though it resembles description style of other web sites in your targeted directory. One way to get help for an accurate description is to ask friends to review your site. The description is the most difficult item to define correctly.

The other important factors in directory submission are making sure you use the correct title, keywords, and descriptions in the right category. Remember, that just any directory submission is not going to get you the traffic you want it takes time and patients.

RSS directory submission provides immediate link popularity. Some of the free directories are not being listed well by Google and other standard search engines. Paid directories have a competitive edge because the free directories sometimes looks like spam to the search engines, this is because the site is not optimized. Each listing carries a brief summary of the content contained within. By getting accepted it means your site meets the directories guidelines and is a quality site. Directories will typically not accept extensions.

Why Web Traffic Is Everything
by Trevor Kugler

Many people, especially when they're just beginning in the website game fail to take into consideration the importance of traffic. I know for me, I had some delusion of grandeur that like the movie Field Of Dreams, "if you build it, they will come". I quickly found out that this wasn't the case. As a matter of fact it was the furthest thing from the truth. The truth is that thousands of websites are being created every single day and put on the World Wide Web. Your website is just one of those thousands and thousands, all stacked on top of each other. Unless you figure out a way to generate traffic to your website, it's literally just sitting there adding no value to anything.

The first thing that comes to peoples mind, at least the first thing that came to my mind when I first started was search engines. Search engines are by far the most popular way for strangers interested in what your website is about to find your website. There's no doubt about that. The problem is that you need to be really careful who you listen to about search engines and getting listed on search engines, because it seems like everyone and their brother is a freakin' expert on the subject. And when you start tiptoeing through this minefield, you quickly find out that they all want your money!

When we first started our webmaster told us that for a mere $50 bucks a month he could have our site 'submitted' to all of the search engines and before long we would rank well for our chosen keywords. This all sounded great to us so we went ahead and did it, only to realize that it didn't freakin' matter art all. Just having your site 'submitted' is only a small piece of a very large puzzle. But did our webmaster explain any of this in order to help us out? Nope. He was only interested in our $50 bucks a month. So I made myself an expert on the subject of search engines and quickly realized that he was more or less stealing our money from us.

My point is that many times webmasters know a lot about creating a website (which ours does), but nothing about actually making that website worth anything to anyone. My main point is that none of this matters without traffic. So how do you go about getting people to your site without an advertising budget worth thousands of dollars? Without giving all of the same tired answers like message boards and banner exchanges the best way to get traffic to your site for free is to begin writing articles about your subject of expertise.

The key here is not to write 1 or 2 articles. You have to write a lot of articles and give them some time to do their work. You see, at the bottom of every article you write, there is a resource box with all of your author information and links to your website. Writing articles is like planting seeds. If you're constantly digging up the seed to see if it's starting to grow, it won't grow. And if you plant just 1 or 2 seeds, what are the chances of those plants growing to be healthy plants? But what if you plant 5000 seeds? Are you following me? The bottom line to all of this is that without traffic, having a website means very little and the best and most inexpensive way to generate that traffic is through the writing of articles.

Make Fast Money Online - 3 Simple Steps
by Aaron Meredith

People all over the world are making money via the internet selling products and services. It makes sense as you can have access to a global marketplace that is always open and you don't even need your own products. So you want to make fast money online? Well in this article I will outline 3 simple steps you can take to make this happen. The key is you must be willing to take action. The greatest ideas in the world are useless unless you are willing to take action.

The first thing you are going to want to do to make fast money online is some market research. Many people never take the time to do some research to find out if people are interested in what they're selling (or about to be selling.) You also have to understand why people choose to buy things. People choose to buy things because of perceived benefit or perceived value. People buy a weight loss e-book because they are sold on hope; the hope that by buying this product, they will be able to lose weight and look better. People join business opportunities out of hope for more money and a better life. Understand that hope sells. Find something to market that has people looking for it and that sells hope.

Another thing we must discuss if you want to make fast money online deals with leveraging other people's knowledge and experience. The fact is if you knew how to make money online, you wouldn't be reading this article. Also, if you knew how to make money online, you would have the experience and knowledge necessary do so on your own. But you don't know how to do this and if you try and figure it out on your own, you're going to have to go through a learning curve. Making the mistakes and learning as you go is not conducive to making fast money online. If you can find a mentor and leverage their knowledge and experience, you can drastically reduce the learning curve and get in profit mode much quicker. There are many multi-level programs out there where a new marketer can get the support of a mentor or sponsor. I recommend these programs only if you are able to work with a proven successful team and mentor. You want to be learning from people who are actually making money and who can help you do the same thing.

The last idea we will discuss to make fast money online is to try and find proven marketing systems that you can plug into and take action. If you are able to plug into a system that produces results, you're ability to make money quickly is much greater. When you have a system that works, you can take action and know that if you keep taking action and doing what the system says to do, you will have success. When you can focus on taking action, you are able to focus on the one thing that separates the successful from the unsuccessful, ACTION!

To make fast money online do some research and find a product/opportunity that is getting searched for and sells some kind of hope. Find a mentor whose knowledge and experience you can use to your advantage. And finally, find a system that is proven to work so you can focus on the most important element of any online business, taking action.

Make Money Online
by Alan Lim

One of the hottest sites to come out of the Web 2.0 phenomenon is Squidoo. If you are not building sites to Squidoo, you are missing one of the quickest and easiest ways to build free traffic for your website or blog to make money online.

Squidoo is a cross between a blog, a mini site, and a My Space page. Squidoo calls the sites "lenses" and the people who produce the sites are called "lensmasters."

Squidoo lenses are very easy to make, even if you have not ever built a website or blog before. You can have a lens up and running in as little as 15 minutes.

Squidoo lenses are made up of "modules". Squidoo has dozens of modules to choose from. There are modules for making lists. There are modules for You Tube videos. There are modules for Amazon and Ebay auctions. With a little knowledge of the module system, you can have your lens built in no time.

Squidoo also offers you a chance to make money online from your lens. Squidoo makes its money from affiliate advertising with Google AdSense, Amazon, Ebay and several other sites. They keep track of the earnings of each module and split the profits with you 50-50. You can also donate your profits of your module to charity if you wish.

Squidoo is very lenient about allowing you to use third party advertising on your lens. You can promote your own website if you wish or promote your favorite affiliate product. Savvy network marketers often use Squidoo lenses to promote their products and recruit new reps.

Squidoo lenses often rank very high on Google, so it's a great chance to build some backlinks to your primary company website and hence increases your website exposure in the internet to make money online.

One of the best ways to use Squidoo to build traffic to your primary blog is by using the RSS feed module. You simply load the RSS feed from your blog and the Squidoo lens will update automatically as you update your blog.

The Amazon module is also very easy to use for people that are new at Squidoo. For the case of Amazon products, you simply enter the ISBN number of the Amazon product and Squidoo will pull it directly off the Amazon website, complete with the photo and the price. You can also have the module pull directly from keywords if you don't want to take the time to find ISBN numbers on Amazon.

Another great Squidoo module is the Ebay module. With the Ebay module, you can select products by keyword or by seller. If you sell a lot of products yourself on Ebay, this is a great way to get free traffic to your auctions.

As you can tell, Squidoo is a great free and easy way to build traffic and make money online. So get Squidooing!

How To Budget For Your Internet Based Home Business Wisely
by Jessica VanderHaar

I have heard from Internet Marketers who are just starting out with their new business who complain that they have gotten themselves in debt trying to get their business off the ground. They are upset with themselves and their business. They are upset with the internet in general. So how is this common problem avoided?

The answer is so easy and yet so often overlooked. Create a budget. But how do you know how much to put aside? If you have read any of my past postings you will know that there are a lot of free forms of advertising that you can do so spending a ton of money is not necessary.

If you have a website you will need to budget for your hosting fees. I choose to host my website through Host4Proft. One of their catch phrases is "We Turn a necessity into a Profit Machine!" and it is true. I not only utilize all their features, I also receive a generous monthly commission on sales I refer to them. It is a great marriage. I have a hosting company that provides me with a ton of extras and I get paid to tell others how great they are. The proof is in the pudding. I wouldn't stay with Host4Profit if their services weren't stellar and I couldn't be one of their affiliates if I wasn't also a client.

So you have your website hosting fees to consider. If you are part of a program, you may or may not have membership costs. Figure out what your monthly required spending is. If you are just starting out, this can be all you are able to budget for. If you want to put a little extra into some paid forms of advertising, that is up to you but it is not necessary.

Look at the costs you currently have and look at the amount of money you have to spend every month on your business. If, after your required fees are covered, you have money left over you can utilize that for paid advertising or other business expenses. If you don't have money left over you will have to put paid advertising on the back burner and concentrate on free advertising.

Once your business starts to make money, you can put some of that money back in to your business and increase your budget.

This is an important aspect of running your own business. Even an online business needs to be budgeted for. You can overextend yourself and then be left with no business at all. Growing your business will take time and effort but the rewards are great. So keep plugging away. Consistency will breed success.

How To Increase Your Blog Traffic
by Bill Rudosky

Dear Reader:

Is your blog gathering dust instead of generating high traffic? It's a common problem for bloggers. Their blogs are good and their postings are interesting, but no one is coming to visit and they want to know how to increase traffic. This is actually easier than it seems once you know how. In this article, we will go over 8 specific methods of increasing traffic. These are guaranteed methods to draw more visitors to your blog.

Tip #1: Sign up for pinging services

It seems pretty obvious, but even many experienced bloggers don't sign up for pinging services. If you don't know what pinging means, when your blog is updated a "ping" is sent out by the services you've registered with to let participating sites know that your blog has been updated. People who are visiting these related sites or get feeds from them will then see your blog flash across the side of the screen as "newly updated".

Pinging services include weblogs.com, Google Blog Search, and ZingFast. Do an engine search to find more of these services, there are a lot of them.

Tip #2: Sign up for Technorati

If you go to technorati.com, you'll see an option on the left side of the screen called "Claim Your Blog". Submitting here allows you to get updated link counts, add your photo or logo to Technorati, and see your Technorati link. Having your blog claimed on Technorati helps to increase traffic because the millions of people who go to that site will have a chance to see your blog on there.

Tip #3: Sign up for FeedBurner, an RSS service

What FeedBurner basically does for your blog is help you to promote your blog's content and build and measure your audience. In other words, it helps you increase your blog's traffic. As with the pinging services, check the search engines for more sites you can send your RSS feed to, as there are a lot more of these as well.

Tip #4: Bookmark your blogs at places like del.icio.us

You can set up an account and profile at del.icio.us. Then you can add links to your blog along with excerpts from it. Anytime someone visits your profile on del.icio.us, they will see a link to your blog and excerpts. There are other social bookmarking sites that you can use in much the same way, a pair of currently popular ones are Digg and Twitter. The bottom line is, using these social bookmarking sites can help you increase traffic.

Tip #5: Post comments at other blogs

No, this doesn't mean you should go and spam other blogs with comments that are only there to promote a site. It means that you should visit similar blogs to your own and as appropriate post legitimate comments and then sign your name along with a link to your blog. This way, people know you aren't there just to promote your site--you're there to post a good piece of feedback and also say where you're from.

Tip #6: Ask owners of other blogs to post a link to yours

Find other blogs that are similar to yours. If they seem to be reasonably popular (that is, they have a good amount of comments for each post), you can try to contact the owner of the blog to add a link to yours if they have a links section. To make them really want to do this, you can offer to link back to their blog on yours. People do this reciprocal blog linking all the time and it does help to increase traffic.

Tip #7: Use keywords in your blog for SEO

Like regular web pages, having a good keyword density on a blog is a terrific way of getting search engine spiders to notice your page. If your average blog posting is around 200 words, try to use 2-6 repetitions of each keyword per blog post.

This would create a keyword density of between 1 and 3 percent, a respectable number. Remember that you don't want to use too many keywords, as that will make your blog postings read poorly. Also be sure that the keywords used are relevant to your blog. Before even making a blog posting, decide what the post will be about and then select a keyword or two to use in your post. It's a surefire way of getting more traffic to your site!

Tip #8: Submit to site directories

Most site directories out there - and there are thousands of them - have a blog category. Once you've got a reasonable amount of content on yours, start submitting it to these directories. They are good ways to be found by searching surfers and each directory listing you're given will eventually be counted as a back-link by the engines. A very good thing!

To your success,

by Ramkarthik

Ever wondered you can earn with a blog? That too with ZERO investment? If you have not heard then reading this will make you beleive it is true.

Starting with a blog:
First we have to know how to create a blog. Its easy and FREE.

=>First go to blogger.com or wordpress.com(Let us consider blogger.com)

=>If you have a Gmail account, then you can just sign up and create a blog.

=>If you don't have a Gmail account but if you have any other account(Say Yahoo),then register to blogger.com with your yahoo id and create a blog.

=>After creating, add some contents to your blog.

=>Update your blog regularly.

=>Add pictures to the blog to make it more interesting.

Thats it your blog is created well.Always keep updating your blog.

Getting Traffic To Your Blog:

To earn better, you should have a good number of visitors to your site.

More visitors=More money

So,you will have to get some traffic to your blog. There are so many ways to do this.

=>Write articles about your blog and submit it to article submission sites like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com.Don't submit the same article to all the sites.Modify at least 25% of your contents before submitting to each site.

=>Write e-books and put your blog url in every page.Give the e-book for free.E-books spread like viruses. So you will get good number of visitors.

=>Submit your blog to free advertising sits like usfreeads.com.

=>Add your blog to technorati.com,digg.com and other sites like these.

=>Exchanging links will also help in gaining visitors.

=>Get a "Subscribe to my blog" option in your blog.To get this for FREE,go to feedburner.com and register with them. This will help you to keep your visitors with you.To keep them active, give free gifts like ebooks to them.

=>Join forums, and keep your blog url as your signature.

These are some ways to increase traffic.

Earning with your blog:

Now comes the main part. You can earn money with your blog in several ways. One of the best way and a well known way is to have Google AdSense in your blog.Once you register with them, your blog will be submitted for testing. If it qualifies then they will give you a code which you can insert in your blog. When a visitor clicks on the Ad,then you will get money. For each click the money you earn will vary.Say,if you get $0.20 per click on an average, then if you have 500 clicks on the ads,you will earn $100.

Now there are few people who have other PPC programs Bidvertiser.I use Bidvertiser Ads for my blog. They pay good.Their minimum payout is as less as $10 and they pay through Paypal. You can also get the payment by check(Cheque). The minimum payout if you use check is $50.They also have a good referral program.

You can also earn through affiliate programs. There are many affiliate programs. One of the most famous is clickbank. They have a large number of products to choose from. You can even try CJ(Commission Junction).

Once you are registered with them, place the products in your blog. When a visitor buys a product you from your blog, you will earn commission.Try to get the products which offer at least $10 per sale and are also famous to visitors.
So if you are going to sell 20 products with commission of $10 from each, then you will earn $200.

Start working now:

I have told you from how to start, how to get traffic and how to earn. Now its your duty to implement it.If you succeed in earning by this method, please let me know about it.I would be happy that there are people who have succeeded through my guidance.Good Luck.

How To Double Your Response In Google Adwords
by Pete Grundner

The #1 mistake that costs online advertisers thousands

95% of advertisers make this mistake. As discusses in my other article titled "How Google evaluates Your Adwords Campaign", Google works very differently from other search engines concerning pay per click campaigns.

So what's the #1 mistake that costs the average advertiser thousands? The answer is encompassed in two simple words - "Content Network". Google will probably never tell you this because they make too much money from unknowing novices spending more than needed, being unaware of their "Content Network".

When setting up any pay per click campaign in Google (Google Adwords), there are three main areas in which you can display your ad:

Google Search
Google Search Network
Google Content Network

Google Search and Google Search Network normally deliver relevant searchers. By default however, Google already has their Content Network checked for you on their ad set-up page. But how closely matched is the Content Network to your Adwords? Usually it's not well matched at all. You will get lots of clicks from responders to these extended relevance sites, however, the quality of this traffic is horrific at best. Not only is the traffic terrible, your click rate will be much lower when including the Content Network. What's worse, if you remember my last article, one of the key factors that affects your ad position is your "average click rate", so this can be a double negative whammy. By just de-selecting "Content Network" (in the "Edit Campaign Settings") you can significantly improve the click rate of your campaign which will then also give you better ad positioning.

Remember, the better your click rate, the higher your ad will be positioned. If your click rate drops below about 0.5%, your ad will rarely display at all. On the other hand, if you have a click rate of 2%, 3% or even higher, your ad will be positioned much higher than if evaluated by price alone.

One more negative alert - click fraud within the "content network" is much greater.

Another great way to improve your ROI and lower your cost per click is to examine where your traffic is coming from within the Google Search Network. If you determine that a lot of traffic is coming from partner sites like www.ask.com for example, you could eliminate the "Search Network" targeting as well and save some additional money. Advertising on these partner sites directly will save you about 50% for each click. The downside, of course, is that it will take more time to manage the extra campaigns. It also depends on your overall budget. The more you invest, the more it is worth looking at the option of eliminating the Search Network as well and setting up separate campaigns on sites like ask.com.

The bottom-line is that, just by de-selecting "Content Network" you will dramatically improve your results and save huge amounts of money.

7 Ways to get Website Traffic - Website Traffic Secrets
by Chris Tremblay

If you own a website, than I'm sure you know that the only way you will make money with your website is if you would bring website traffic to your website. There are many ways of getting website traffic, and as a Webmaster, you should try and put most ways into practise.

The first way to generate website traffic is by having a paid-per-click campaign on Adwords or Overture. This is very easy to set up and can get you visitors within only 10 minutes. You should bid only on the best-targeted keywords; if you're an affiliate marketer you should only be bidding on keywords involving the product name. Website traffic from PPC campaigns can get costly, and you should only test to see if you profit. If you don't, there is no use continuing.

The second way of getting website traffic is with e-mail advertising. Many people have lists of e-mail addresses, and you could send an e-mail advertisement to someone else's list by offering this person a commission of the sales or by paying them. Getting website traffic this way is also good since you could team up with people who have lists in the same category as the product or service you are selling.

The third way of getting website traffic is with traffic exchanges. I don't suggest wasting your time on auto hit exchanges - your web page is simply re-loaded into peoples browsers and most of the time no one is watching the screen, leaving your website having no real visitors. Using manual surf exchanges might get you a couple of sales.

The fourth way of generating website traffic is by submitting links to other websites. This can be done for free at FFA sites, but beware that your Page Rank might diminish. Only do this on websites that you don't count on working on in the long run. Generating website traffic like this isn't always profitable since not many people visit links.

The fifth way of generating website traffic is by putting ads in newspapers and places around your community, for example in your local paper. Generating website traffic like this can be profitable if you create money with your website using Adsense and if your site is appealing to people in your area.

The sixth way of getting website traffic is by having an affiliate program. If you add your product to a popular affiliate directory such as Pay Dot Com or any other, people will find your product and if it's appealing, they will promote it. You'll make a percentage of each sale and you will not have done anything!

The seventh and best method for generating website traffic is with search engine optimization: optimizing your website to appear on the search results of big search engines. I rate this method of traffic generation the best since it will create daily traffic that is targeted and it will pay off for years to come. If you work on your website's SEO for six months, your website might achieve a high rank and stay there for the next couple of years, providing you with daily targeted traffic. This will truly make you a lot of money if you use Adsense, and even if you sell a product.

In order to do SEO properly, you need to know what you are doing. I don't suggest you go with SEO firms to generate website traffic - they are very expensive and you could easily work on your website's SEO yourself.

The benefits of SEO are sometimes unimaginable. If you haven't been practising SEO, you should get to it now. You're losing a lot of money by not using this website generation technique.

The best way to practise SEO is to use a good SEO software application that'll automate most SEO tasks for you. I suggest you use SEO Elite because it's one of the most powerful SEO software applications out there.

And SEO Elite comes with a guide to SEO, so you'll be bound to get thousands of new visitors weekly to your website.

How to Choose a Right Directory Submission Service
by Natalie Aranda

In this article we are going to see the importance of internet directories. There are only two most important reasons why people submit their website to these directories. First one is to get more keyword specific and targeted traffic and the second one is the link popularity to get better page ranks. Acquiring or taking these links from other similar themed websites will also bring down same results if those websites are giving qualified links, which also means that they are interested in having a link exchange in regards to your niche or business.

Make sure that you are doing a link exchange only with sites relevant to your business nature. Getting into directories would assure you of a one way link for life long which in return helps your back links enabling your website to move upwards in the eyes of search engine rankings. It is very easy to get listed in directories and even easier than starting a reciprocal link building campaign. If you are in plan of submitting your website to these directories and are in search for someone to do your work then make sure you have covered these points discussed below before choosing a a service provider for directory Submissions.

You need to check there listings to ensure that your website will be submitted to quality directories only which would bring in more traffic than any low level directories. Best example is DMOZ, yahoo, Google etc. you will be surprised to hear that Google results are drawn from DMOZ whereas yahoo uses its own directory listing to find out the results. Always keep in mind that these directories are regularly edited by human editors and so you need to be specific in selecting a relevant category for your website otherwise your website might just be rejected.

Since the internet is full of such web directories, it becomes very tedious job to submit into each one by one. Generally these directories have various categories to cover up any topic. A good directory submission service would submit your website to as many directories as possible which would generate lots of one way links to your site increasing your websites overall page rank and to be listed amongst top 10 in near future. Many websites today are using the search engine optimization techniques of keyword based targeted traffic. This helps in improved search engine listing after the directory submission has been completed successfully.

You must remember that quality directory submission services would provide a detailed report justifying the directories it has submitted your website to. You can provide all the relevant details about your website along with a contact email where all the submission confirmation emails will be sent by the directories. All you need to do is to click on each one of them to confirm your submission for listing. This is essential and without which the directory listing will not happen.

Always take a look at the directory list prior sending the payment for the work.

Monitoring Website Traffic Patterns with Web Statistics
by Enrique Padilla

As site designers, webmasters often feel that they have handle on the traffic that their web sites generate. Very successful webmasters, on the other hand, can be sure that they know what's happening on their websites by taking advantage of the information provided by their web statistics.

Web site statistics can actually be a bit of a misnomer. The name makes them sound like an excel spreadsheet full of boring numbers that don't relate to website usage ... and some web stats packages can be just that: boring -- providing only the basic numbers about who's on your site. (Unique visitors, page views, entry pages and exit pages come to mind). But in reality, web statistics have come a tremendously long way in a short time, and are able to paint a very unique picture of what website visitors are doing each and every time they visit a site.

New hosted web statistics solutions that no longer rely on web server log files, are capable of recording, keeping and displaying valuable pieces of information about each user of a website. Most of them allow webmasters and marketers to view the statistical information in real-time and display the statistics in easy-to-use graphical interfaces. Even better, they are now allowing webmasters to go beyond top-level statistical information and drill-down into a specific user's session to determine how much time they spent on specific pages, what links they clicked on, or to track the exact path they followed from the time they arrived to the time they left.

Even more advanced tools have been developed to help webmasters translate statistical data into graphical representations of web site traffic activity. Heat maps and site overlays are some of the most effective methods to date to demonstrate exactly what type of decisions web visitors make as they look at a particular page.

Heat maps show the web page with a weather-map-like representation of where the "hottest" points on the page are. By viewing a heat map, webmasters can see where the attention on a page is being paid, which they can use to more effectively organize a page to emphasize a page's most important elements.

Site overlay is a tool that demonstrates where users are clicking by displaying the page, with percentages overlaid on the page that show exactly what percentage of the total clickthrus are being done via that particular link. Like the heatmap, it demonstrates where user's eyes are going, and can help webmasters understand where people are clicking and deduce why they choose the links they do.

In the end, the importance of the web statistics will only be determined by how much use that the webmaster can make of the information. Can they make effective changes to their site using the statistics they're provided? With these new tools, web statistics providers have made it much easier to get statistics, and use that information to make their websites a better place for their users.

The Surefire Way to Win The Affiliate Marketing Game!
by Franck Silvestre

Affiliate and Internet marketing are becoming more and more difficult, and if you want to really get your hands on hundreds of easy ways to start a business online, you want to do it now.

The Internet marketing game has changed once again in 2007. While it was a lot more easier for small businesses to make money on demand in many niche markets, the rules are changing now.

Before, in order to make a lot of money online, all that you got to do was to find a niche, setting up an adsense website, and drive targeted traffic to your webpages via pay per click advertising or free traffic (article or forum marketing).

One of the key for success was the weakness or largest corporations. They weren't able to operate fast enough to enter in all those niche markets.

Today, this is not true anymore. Large corporation are blogging and they understand the importance of the web 2.0. They interact with their clients and start to penetrate niche markets at light speed.

They can put a lot of money in their adwords advertising campaigns, and even "steal" one of your secret niche...

So what can you do to avoid that?

When you start Internet marketing, you may be tempted to market without learning the rules because you read somewhere that it's the easiest way to make money online.

Be careful, and prepare yourself, learn how to market like a real pro instead or being an opportunity seeker (the surefire way to fail as an affiliate marketer).

Don't overlook the importance of a coach, someone who can guide you and help you grow your online business. He already experinced what you are going through and knows every ambush.

If you want to become a profitable winner at Affiliate marketing online, you really need to know and understand what you are doing.

In the offline world, nobody would consider starting an business without learning the fundamentals.

Be patient and do your homework, try to learn everything that you can about how to do affiliate marketing the right way, because the more you learn, the better your chances of success.

Be aware that you don't need any of the high priced courses or seminars to start. Just choose a good low-cost educational program, and then try to follow the blueprint provided to you.

Affiliate Marketing Is Not For Everybody
by Tony Yao

These days, affiliate marketing is hyped as the easiest way to make money online. Just take a look at some product advertisements on the Internet, I'm sure that you will find the majority of them conveys similar messages: if you buy the product, you are guaranteed to earn $10,000 (or similar figures) per month, without having to create your own product or even have a website. This sound so promising, and many people do buy these kind of products. But do they make that much money as promised? The answer is as you can guess is no. As a matter of fact, it is estimated that around 95% of affiliates earn very little or even not at all. Have the product advertisements misled them or they simply do not put in enough effort?

The crux of the problem is that many people simply don't understand that affiliate marketing is a business. When you are an affiliate to somebody else's product, you are in the business of marketing their products. And with any kind of business, you will need to spend a considerable amount of time and effort to run it. And in order to make money, you need to invest something first, and understand the risk that you might not even see any return. This problem is made worse by the false promises that were conveyed by the majority of products out there. They give false messages that by doing affiliate marketing, you create a money machine that will continuously making money for you, even while you are sleeping.

This is exactly the problem why most people quit affiliate marketing just after 1 week. When they realise that affiliate marketing is not a get-rich-quick-scheme, they quit.

In order to succeed in affiliate marketing, you need to have the right mindset. Understand that affiliate marketing is a business, and that you need to think like a businessman. Most of the people who try to break into affiliate marketing are not business owners. As such, the majority of them do not have the mindset of an entrepreneur. These people are simply bound to fail in their effort to market affiliate products because they don't think like a businessman, they don't have proper plan, they are not focused, they are not persistent enough, and they have to get a return on their investment now (instant gratification).

If you are thinking about entering affiliate marketing, evaluate yourself first to see if you have the following qualities:

1. You are persistent and able to handle delayed gratification

2. You are focused an able to make plans

3. You are willing to continuously learn new techniques and technologies

4. You must like business and the inherent risk involved in it

5. You must be decisive and able to take action as opposed to procrastinate

If you think that you have the above qualities and you are ready to embark on a new journey of affiliate marketing but you don't know where to start, it will be prudent for you to learn from other people as this will shorten your learning curve considerably. Fortunately, there are some good programs out there that can help you with this, and I have reviewed the best of affiliate education programs out there.

How Affiliate Marketing Works
by Travis Smith

How Affiliate Marketing Works

I've seen this question asked alot: "How does affiliate marketing work?" If you've been looking around online about working online, you've probably come across this topic. What is it? How does it work? Is affiliate marketing a scam? I'll address those topics in this brief article.

What is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is the idea that somebody has a product, but they don't want to market it all out of their own pocket. They allow people (affiliates) to market their product for them. Should those affiliates make any sales, they get a commission on the sale. Should the affiliates fail, they don't lose any money. It's win-win for them. They get sales without having to spend any of their own money on marketing.

So how would somebody go about getting into the affiliate marketing business? There are many different companies you can join. Clickbank and Commission Junction are by far the two biggest. Once you join up with them you search for products you want to promote. You create a webpage promoting these products and you get visitors to go to the product page from your website using a special link that has your id in it. This allows clickbank to know that the sale was referred by you and you should get a cut of the profit.

Is Affiliate Marketing a Scam?

No, not at all. The paychecks are real, the opportunity is there, and there is money to be made. The biggest problem with getting a successful campaign going is getting traffic to your site. Most sites will generate almost no traffic on their own. Your best bet is to find some ebooks that show you the tricks of the trade in getting visitor to your site. Once you get the visitors, the next problem is getting them to buy. Again, there are plenty of ebooks out there to offer some advice.

The reason people fail at affiliate marketing is they read about this new, "easy, work at home, make tons of money" strategy. They order the e-book thinking they'll be rich in two days and suddenly they realize, "Wow, this will take some work." It IS something that can be done in an hour a day, but it will take some work and time. Don't quit your day job just yet.

What is affiliate marketing? A win-win situation if you work hard at it.

Making Money Online? A Reality or a Scam?
by Yong Lim Foo

I will like to share with you what I have chanced upon on the Internet. And the key thing is that success stories earning some cash on the Internet are happening to me. People from all walks of life, students, housewives, clerks and etc and they are humans just like you and me. And they are earning a pretty decent sum...

I will not ask and expect you to take out your credit card and pay whatever is required online to buy anything first. My intention is to share what I have found. And nothing more that that .

By the way I am an undergraduate in Singapore. I am here to provide you another option that can allow me as a student to earn some cash. Hard work does count and it counts a lot.

The nice thing is that my mentor, Annie Neo, who I chanced upon on the Internet, will guide me through, steps by steps online. But I am still required to walk the talk in order to be successful. Do not expect money falling from the sky. Nevertheless the effort is well spent.

Think about carrying buckets of water from river back home for daily use. Once the water in the house is used up, the trip down the river repeats and the cycle carries on. Try to relate it to living by paycheck. When you are sick, there is no more income. No matter you are in a high earning position or in a low paying job. Simple. For undergraduates like myself, no tuition, no income. No part time jobs, no income. Simple.

However if now instead of buckets of water, pipe is built instead to bring the water from the river to the house directly? Sounds amazing right? And why the pipe is so hard to build?

This is because the returns are not immediate unlike carrying buckets of water. And it can take a while before the first drip appears in the house. But once the pipe is built, water will run 24/7, 365 days a year, until the river dries up. And if the river is drying up, more pipes can be built again to link other rivers.

Through the Internet, many scams have appeared to help people to get rich which are so false. I was skeptical towards earning money online. It was different when I found out more about Annie Neo and leverage on her knowledge to earn some money online.

For myself, I aim to earn a decent online income (a pipe) to supplement my expenses as a student first. Anything above that amount will be the bonus. Multiple streams of incomes (many pipes) will have to be built to achieve true financial freedom.

Hope everyone can succeed in the dreams pursued. And to Everyone Success.

How To Make Money From Your Blog
by Joel Teo

Blogging has become a very popular activity online and many people blog about topics that they are interested in. Did you know that you can actually make money from your blog? This article explains a three stage process to make money from your blog.

Identify an interest and find a keyword

Do you have an interest that you feel passionately about? Download the Good Keywords tool and identify a few high traffic keywords to use in your blog that relates to your current interest. The tool uses search results from Overture and tells you how many searches result from a particular keyword each month. So the higher the number of searches, the more popular the keyword. Sprinkle these keywords in your titles and in the content of your blog posts. This would enable you to get more blog visitors via the search engines to your blog. Remember more eyeballs means more profits for you.

Find a method to Monetize your blog

Contextual advertising today in the form of google represents one of the best ways to make money from your blog. Google can decipher from your title tag what your post is about and places advertisements there and each time someone clicks on an advisement on your blog, you get paid.

Affiliate programs also represent another great way to make extra money from your blog. By referring your visitors to the webstore through your own affiliate link, you can make money from each other their purchases online and what's best you get paid by a third party provider to eliminate the risk of fraud on the part of the vendor.

Publicise your blog

Once you have the first two steps up and running, you might want to generate more buzz to your blog. Some methods include submitting your blog to blog directories and also to submit your rss feeds from your blog to rss feed aggregators and directories. Another powerful way to boost the power of your rss feed is to use rss programs like Feedburner which allows you to track how people are reading your rss feed. This method will boost your website traffic which would in turn increase the amount of money that you can make from your blog.

In conclusion, writing about a hobby via a blog can be both pleasurable and help you make money online as well. Take some action today with your web blog and you could potentially be on your way to making serious money online.

Double Your Traffic and Lower Your Advertising Cost
by Stan Tomas

I am sure you have read numerous articles on this subject and walked away thinking, "yeah, right", because the article explained absolutely nothing on how to do what the title said.

I intend to change that right here and now.

Here's how my website works and you too can utilize these techniques, often referred to as "tricks", or "secrets of the Guru's".

I may get some nasty e-mails from those that feel this is still guarded information, but I feel that the real test of this info is in putting it to work for you. So, why not help someone that may be still wondering what to do to drive traffic to their site.

To increase traffic, and lower your advertising cost you need to ADD a lot of keywords to your site. You need to do BOTH for one simple reason.

Using a lot of keywords, especially a certain kind of keyword, results in the traffic you attract to be more diverse than if you had many fewer keywords. Mathematically think of it like this: one keyword may get 1000 hits a month. You may see 10 of those hits at your site.

Now, what if you had 100 keywords, that each got 1000 hits. If you only got 10 hits from each of those 100 keywords, you might see 1000 hits to your site. How about 500 keywords?

That would be 5000 hits. I am using very conservative numbers to keep this explanation simple, and not give away too much!

OK, now how do we lessen our advertising cost by selecting "special" keywords.

Maybe some of you figured this out, or actually experienced the "redirect" when searching for information on your favorite search engine.

Have you ever searched for "Joe's Lawnmowers" and found "Bob's Lawnmowers" instead?

Think for a second what just happened. What if you ended up purchasing from Bob instead of Joe?

You just gave your money to Bob, when you originally planned to buy from Joe.

The trick or better said technique here is using keywords of comparable products to lure traffic to your site and products. There is no end to your imagination on how to use other products "name" and associated "advertising" budgets to "lure" prospects to your site that may sell very similar products.

If you combine many keywords which are of similar niche markets for your product or service you will see a definite lowering of your advertising cost particularily in pay per click (PPC) ads.

Mathematically the many keywords "spread" the probability of a "hit" such that more hits become sales. We can show you our advanced calculus explanation on this, butfor now let's just say that this works! Just kidding on the calculus.

There are some schools of marketing thought that say to target as much traffic as you can whether it is related to your sites main purpose or not. We are still of the opinion that targeted traffic that is made up of people that are from a certain "niche" market is still the best traffic you can have.

In today's market place where competition is always fierce, even targeted traffic wants you to show them why YOUR product or service is the best.

We will address niche marketing in our next article.

For now, we can show you exactly how to utilize the ideas in this brief encounter with your internet marketing. We use these ideas everyday to decide how to fine tune our marketing ads, and better define our niche audience to market to.

Thanks for reading this and we hope it was informative. We offer this information to all of our students and look forward to your comments.

See http://www.certainchange.com for the roadmap to putting these time tested techniques to use.

How To Make Extra Money With Clickbank

If you have even remotely heard of the name Clickbank, then chances are you have probably heard of the term affiliate marketing. In fact, the way I see it, affiliate marketing is a concept loosely borrowed from some legal offline business models such as franchising and joint-ventures.

Clickbank is one the biggest affiliate network on the Internet today. Four months ago, I would have easily dismissed it as a scammer's website, but after ploughing through some intensive research and studying internet business guides, I began to see the immensely kinetic potential of Clickbank.

What exactly is affiliate marketing and what does Clickbank has got to do with it?

There are a few technical definitions of affiliate marketing but for the laymen like myself, I would define affiliate marketing as simply "selling other people's products with a commission". Period.

Clickbank is a portal that connects the Product Creators, i.e, Publishers and the Sales Personnel, i.e., Affiliates. Clickbank acts as a third party that handles all transactions, product delivery, customer service and refunding processes. Only digital products are sold via Clickbank, for example, webhosting and domain services, information e-books, softwares and satellite services.

So how to make extra money with Clickbank, as suggested by the title of this article?

You can make money as an affiliate by joining Clickbank for FREE! Choose a product to sell, get the affiliate hoplink and place them on your website. Drive traffic to your website and get your visitors to click on that hoplink to go to the Publisher's sales page.

If they make a purchase there, you will be credited with a commission ranging from 10% to 75%. You don't have to worry about logistics, inventory, or delivery. You only need to figure out how to drive traffic to your website.

Sounds easy?

Not as easy as it seems, as there are more than 10,000 products on Clickbank for you to choose and sell. In any marketplace, there are always good products and bad ones. Going through all of them will consume so much of your time and leave you less to make money.

So how to choose the good products on Clickbank that are profitable?

This is where some internet marketing experts come into the picture. Kyle and Carson are successful affiliate marketers who coach inexperienced affiliates to make money with Clickbank. Their latest cutting edge e-book "Who Loves Money" focuses primarily on making money with Clickbank and how to use different marketing techniques to drive highly targeted traffic to your website.

I highly recommend the "Who Loves Money" e-book for anyone who wants to have a headstart in affiliate marketing. Kyle and Carson are genuine marketers who will even offer personal coaching for the clueless affiliates.

The book also reveals the 'Penny Pincher' method that allows affiliates to start marketing with zero investment. These techniques employed by most top marketers are kept hush-hush in the industry. Only 'Who Loves Money' lays them out for all to see.

How To Survive As A Clickbank Affiliate
by Riki Chon

How To Survive As A Clickbank Affiliate

Don't you want to laugh at some of the ads you see. "Make easy money as a Clickbank affiliate". Let me tell you, if it was that easy, 95% of all Internet marketers wouldn't be failing at this business. So it's time that somebody printed a Clickbank affiliate survival guide. While this article won't be possibly replace an entire guide, it is the hopes of this author that it will be at least alert you to some of the things that as an affiliate you should be on the lookout for. Otherwise, life as a Clickbank affiliate can be a real nightmare.

Probably your biggest pitfall of being a Clickbank affiliate is your competition. What most people don't realize is that they are not alone in this business. Clickbank probably has the largest affiliate base of any affiliate network on the internet. So if you are going to have a chance of succeeding, the first thing you want to do is not try to compete with others promoting the same product.

This is probably the easiest thing to avoid because of the tools that Clickbank gives you. The Clickbank marketplace may very well be the greatest thing to come to Internet marketing since the introduction of the autoresponder. At the Clickbank marketplace, you can see every product that is being sold and make an informed decision as to what products you want to sell. How do you do this? You do this by examining the stats.

The stats that Clickbank tracks are dollars per sale, percent per sale, percent referred and gravity. Let's take them one at a time and point out what you'd like to see in each.

1. Dollars per sale is how much you will make on each sale. Ideally, you want to look for products that pay the most, especially if you are going to use Google Adwords to promote the products, which can really eat up profits quickly. But this is not the only thing you want to look for.

2. Percent per sale is the percent of each sale that the affiliate gets. Ideally, you want at least 50% on each sale. Some products pay as much as 75% or more. Of course, these products are more popular and harder to sell because of the competition.

3. Percent referred is the percentage of all sales that come from affiliates. This is a very important figure and usually coincides with the next stat. Ideally, you don't want to compete with the products where 85 to 90% of the sales are coming from affiliates.

4. Gravity may be the most important stat to gauge the competition. This figure tells you roughly how many affiliates are promoting this product. You want to sell product with little competition, you want to look for gravity numbers under 20.

Okay, putting this all together, ideally, these are the numbers you want to look for:

Dollars per sale - $25 or more
Percent per sale - 50% or more
Percent referred - Less than 70%
Gravity - Under 20

Believe it or not, these products exist. You just have to find them. When you do, you have found products that you will have a decent chance of selling, especially if you use Google Adwords and mine long tail keywords.

These are just some basics on how to survive as a Clickbank affiliate.

Look for our next article, where we'll look at the 2nd biggest mistake when doing Google Adwords. Sign up for our "Marketing Insight" ezine and be one of the first to view it.

Why Use Google Adsense?
by Andi Wize

Undoubtedly, you've heard about Google's AdSense and you are thinking about giving it a go. But is it really worth placing an AdSense banner on your site?

The answer is a definite yes. You could always have some other banner on your site, or even use some search of affiliate ad program and that would probably make you some money, given of course that your site enjoys a healthy amount of visitors. However with affiliate marketing, it is expected that the visitor from your website completes a sale before you are remunerated.

But that's nowhere near what you get for using AdSense. There are people who earn in excess of 100.000 dollars per year by using AdSense. And it doesn't just stop with making more money. Firstly, the ads are text only. That means they're by far less obtrusive on your visitors then your average, flashy banner that's designed to catch the eye of the visitor.

Sure, you'll have to ensure they get better placement, so as to be noticed but despite that they don't bother viewer's as much as traditional ads. Think about the many sites you've seen using pop-ups, floating banners and many other schemes that will have visitors screaming in anger every time they visit the said website. You can actually do better then that, annoying people less and still making an amount of money.

Secondly, the ads are generated based on the contents of your site automatically. When you use an affiliate ad program, you have to specify certain categories that your sites belong to.

However, if any page on your site falls outside of these categories, the banners aren't targeted anymore. And what that means is that you're potentially showing ads to people who don't have any interest in them and that can lead to inefficiencies.

With Google AdSense that just about never happens: the ads present on your site will always be in sync with whatever your visitors are interested in and that adds to your site's value and to the revenue it produces.

What's more, the look of these banners and their size is customizable, which means they will feel more integrated with the rest of your site's content, which brings an increase in your site's overall visual quality as opposed to a traditional approach.

For many people, there's also a great problem with finding people to advertise on their site as well. AdSense is clearly the easiest solution available to this problem today.

It's free to join the AdSense program and it almost takes no time at all. The potential database of websites from AdWords is larger then anything you might encounter from any competitor, numbering over 150.000 users. This means as more people compete the CPC or cost per click for search terms will inevitably rise.

Also, setting up AdSense on your site is a breeze, and you can complete the whole process in less then an hour. It takes a lot less to do then any form of affiliate advertising which is yet another reason to choose the easy AdSense approach.

All you need to do is add an AdSense banner on your website (other then registering with the program of course) is to copy & paste a few lines and you're all done, you get to choose where the banners go, how large they are and how they integrate with the rest of your site.

For any webmaster out there, that's a killer scheme because it lets you draw the line between your site's usability level and the amount of advertising you wish to have. Some people need the money badly while others just keep AdSense running to pay for the hosting of their website.

AdSense is a great advertising program because a lot of thought has went into making it "just work for everyone". It works great for the people who use AdWords, for the webmasters using AdSense, and most importantly for the visitors of the websites.

How Affiliate Marketing Works
by Travis Smith

Website optimization
by Chris Tremblay

If you are a Webmaster, website optimization should be your main priority. Optimizing your website so that it becomes a truly magnificent site is not always easy, but you should be trying to do it. Website optimization shouldn't only be about making your website better for visitors - it should also be about getting website visitors.

Website optimization is practise by almost all webmasters - they make their websites better, by either improving their site content, layout or services/product. But website optimization also takes a whole new level - let's put it this way - if you get no traffic, your great optimized layout will not be seen.

That's why your website optimization priorities should be on generating visitors. Your website won't make any money from having a good layout or style - it'll generate traffic if you focus on promotion and advertising.

There are many ways to practise website optimization in the form of advertising, but there is one way, to me, that beats the rest.

Let's say your website sells binoculars. Imagine if every person that would go to Google and search for "binoculars" would find your website first. And, to add to that, those who would search different terms such as "Big Binoculars" and "Red Binoculars" would also find your website first.

This would bring you many visitors - and these visitors are targeted, since they are already looking for binoculars. This creates a "supply the demand" website and your sales will skyrocket.

Website optimization, to me, is optimizing your website to be able to do just that. Website optimization for search engines is called search engine optimization - SEO. If you apply a few techniques to your website, your website optimization will pay off and you'll be ranked high in the search results for targeted keywords.

Now, you might not know a lot about SEO, but I'm telling you that it's one of the best ways of website optimization. Getting visitors should be your main priority once your website is built, and that is exactly what SEO does - it creates a massive, constant flow of targeted traffic.

If you haven't been practising SEO on your website, you should start doing it as fast as possible. Website optimization is just that - doing SEO.

I suggest to all my clients that they use a software application to automate their SEO. The most powerful one out these is SEO Elite.

And, SEO Elite comes with a complete guide on SEO and how to do it, so you're website optimization will lead to high search engine ranking fast! Not only will you know exactly what to do, you'll be able to do it automatically using SEO Elite.

Project Management and Time Manegement - Software
by Tony Robinson Robinson

Do you have an effective action plan that gets your objectives complete? You might ask, "What is an action plan?" As you should know, your objectives are the sum of one or more tasks. To complete these tasks, of course you need to take one or more actions as well. Your action plan is pretty much a list of these actions in a useful order that can be used to get them done. When they are all done, so is the objective.

Many have heard "Plan your work, and work your plan." This is where the real deal occurs. With a workable plan, it's a lot easier to focus on each action in it's time, finish it, then move onto the next. Before you know it, the objective is done. Further with the simpler job of doing the tasks (actions) from beginning to end, things tend to flow through the whole process, and before you realize it, it's done in record time. That's why action plans are real important in time management.

Time management is of course the process of effective use of your time. When you eliminate time waste and accentuate highly effective uses of time, you need to keep a focus on what the objective is. Good time management is where the time is used to get objectives completed on time. Breaking it down to the actions and walking them through will bring you to the point where you can get onto other objectives.

When it comes to both time management and even keeping track of an action plan, there are numerous software packages available that will ease the process. A lot of these programs are large business and multiple users oriented. Along with this, comes a hefty price tag.

One item that is relatively affordable and good for single user or small business is Microsoft Office. As far as time management, it includes a full calendar that is integrated with email and also task management. This can make a pretty good combination of action plan tracking (tasks) as well as the scheduling of it in time over days, weeks, months, and so on. It can make a decent way to make your action plan, and allow you to work your time management scheme around it.

Of course, Microsoft Outlook will usually come with Word (Word Processing) as well as Excel (spreadsheet). Between these integrated tools, it's possible to manage nearly everything and accumulate many files and settings.

With any software, especially when they work your action plan, time management, documents, and so on... Backups are always important. Be sure to be informed about how to completely backup your data. With Microsoft Outlook for example, there is an important file that used to have an extension of PSD. In that file, is found emails, tasks, calendar schedule, and well; pretty much your action plan and time management scheduling.

One last note, clearing out old unneeded documents will make it easier to work through your current documents.
